Sungrow Supplies Shanghai’s First Road DC Fast Electric Vehicle Charger

Shanghai, China, March 21, 2022, Sungrow installed its integrated DC electric vehicle (EV) charger rated at 120kW in downtown Shanghai, China. It’s the first operational road DC fast EV charging station in Shanghai, successfully meeting the growing charging demand for EV and offering more advantageous charging access for residents.

While EVs are quickly evolving, there is an urgent demand for a growing number of EV chargers being considered within the infrastructure. The DC EV charging station is the local government’s initiative, while also setting a higher requirement for the EV chargers due to land constraints and safety concerns for nearby residents. Sungrow’s integrated DC EV charger features a minimal carbon footprint, streamlined design, less noise, and a premium protection capability -- all factors which ideally suit an installation.

“The charging is truly fast! It can supplement the car range by approximately 300 kilometers within half an hour of charging,” said an EV owner.

As a pivotal player in the renewable energy industry, Sungrow expands its business into the EV charging section and hits the market with an increasing number of landmark applications in China.
