Sungrow joined the EP100 initiative in 2022, promising to achieve full coverage of the energy management system by 2028 and increase energy productivity by 35% compared to 2018. Since 2017, Sungrow has been implementing and passing the ISO50001 energy management system, establishing a complete and effective energy management system, process, and system. Through technological and managerial energy conservation, over 1300 MWh of electricity was saved throughout 2023, with a energy consumption intensity of 0.0884 kilograms of standard coal per kilowatt, showing a continuous downward trend.

Sungrow actively promotes GHG inventory development and carbon footprint standards, provides transparent and scientific verification procedures for low-carbon development, assumes corporate responsibility, and has been carrying out enterprise carbon inventory work since 2020, continuously improving the independent inventory capacity of greenhouse gas in scope 1, 2, and 3. The emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 in 2023 were 41755 tons of CO₂ equivalent, a year-on-year decrease of 1502 tons, while Scope 3 emitted 8953862 tons of CO₂ equivalent. Based on the carbon inventory results, Sungrow has formulated corresponding measures to promote the achievement of our own and supply chain carbon neutrality goals.
